What’s Your Plan to Vote?

As Americans, we hold the great privilege of living in a land with free elections. With our spring election just around the corner, we encourage you to make a plan to vote.

Supreme Court Race

On April 7th Wisconsinites will cast their votes for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Self-proclaimed liberal and former radical democrat State Representative Chris Taylor and self-proclaimed independent jurist Maria Lazar face off for the open seat on the Supreme Court. If Taylor wins, the liberals will gain a 5-2 majority on the court. Taylor’s radical history includes 8 years as a lobbyist for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and nearly a decade as one of the most progressive democrats in the legislature. A win for Taylor would place another radical liberal and judicial activist on the court.

Local Elections

Alongside the Supreme Court race, Wisconsinites will also cast their votes in many local elections. While these elections may seem less important than the Supreme Court race, they will actually have a great impact on your daily life and on your community. School boards, mayors, and officials at the city and county levels make many crucial local decisions that have immediate impact on ordinary citizens’ daily lives.

We strongly encourage you to learn about each candidate on your ballot and vote for pro-family candidates. Thankfully, I Voter Guide can educate you on each of your candidates and help you to make informed decisions in just a few minutes.

Vote Early

In addition, we encourage you to take advantage of early voting opportunities. Despite your best intentions, sickness, weather, and family emergencies can hold you back from placing your vote on April 7th. Early in-person voting opens on March 24th and goes through April 3rd in most municipalities. Early in-person voting allows you to cast your legal ballot at a time that is convenient for you and helps you avoid long lines on Election Day. In addition, it ensures that your voice will be heard even if something prevents you from making it to the polls on Election Day.

Visit My Vote Wisconsin to survey your early and absentee voting options for this election. Call your clerk to verify the times this service is available in your municipality. If you are not registered or need to change your address, you can also take care of that in your clerk’s office.

Make a Plan to Vote

We strongly encourage you to make your plan to vote right now. Whether you call your clerk to learn about early voting options or mark April 7th on your calendar, make sure you have set aside time to cast your vote.

Sadly, when Christians remain silent by failing to vote, candidates who oppose biblical values often gain the upper hand. This spring election, use your vote to make your voice heard.
