Chemical abortions are a two-step process: (1) a woman takes the first pill that blocks the baby from receiving progesterone; (2) 24 -72 hours later she takes the second pill that forces her to deliver the baby.
Surgery
Surgical abortions are performed in two ways: (1) the baby is sucked out of the womb using a vacuum-like machine; (2) the baby is dismembered limb-by-limb in the womb.
Human life is given by God and is precious from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death. It should be celebrated and protected! We oppose any measures that seek to end the life of a person, whether in the womb, in suffering, or in old age.
Our care for life reflects the heart of our society. Our culture prioritizes self over others and comfort over duty. We believe, that though hardships surround life and circumstances, God provides grace and strength to meet those needs, and we believe the church, not government, is best suited to help in hardship.
