Over the past few weeks here at Wisconsin Family Action, we have focused on the meaning of motherhood and the value of Godly mothers in the lives of their children. Many of you have taken advantage of our $20,000 Flash Match campaign, and donated in honor of the mothers in your lives. Below are a few of the many comments we have received as part of this campaign:
“I am so thankful for the sacrifices made and the Godly example of my mother. Many mornings while growing up, I would awake to find her on her knees in prayer. It is true, the prayers of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much.”
“One of my favorite memories of my mom is of her singing songs at bedtime. Now I do the same with my children and love passing down the same beautiful music & biblical truths. I am thankful for my mom’s gentle love, a clear reflection of my Heavenly Father!”

“This gift is given in tribute to my dear mother, Lois. When asked in a Bible study ‘who is the most godly woman you know?’ I didn’t have to think. I immediately answered ‘my mother!’ She was the one who first told me about Jesus, through Bible stories, prayers and teaching us Bible verses before bedtime. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior as a small child by my bedside with my mom. Most importantly she was a woman of the Word. Whenever I would call her in the morning and ask her what she was doing, she would inevitably say ‘reading my Scriptures,’ and go on to detail what she had read. Her life verse was Psalm 16:8, ‘I have set the Lord always before me because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.’ I can just imagine her now standing with those who have heard ‘well done, proclaiming forever that He is the one that is faithful.’”
These precious memories have warmed our hearts and placed a renewed call within us to support mothers in our culture that is intent on destroying what it means to be a woman and the qualities associated with Biblical motherhood. We know that a woman’s role inside the home is absolutely essential in determining the success and wellbeing of a child. A loving, nurturing, Godly mother is a priceless gift beyond measure.
We are incredibly grateful for every person who has contributed to our Flash Match campaign and shared memories of the mothers, mother-figures, and grandmothers in their lives.
So far, we have raised over $5,000, and with our Flash Match in place, over $10,000 in total.
