Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.

Acts 16:32-33

When was the last time you reflected on the importance of fatherhood? At our church last Sunday, we had an entire family baptized! The father shared his testimony of how he came to the Lord through our local church’s ministry and then the rest of his family came to Christ.

This reminded me of the story in the book of Acts where Paul and Silas led the Philippian jailer to the Lord which resulted in the entire household’s salvation and baptism.

Some ministries have claimed that, when kids come to Christ first, 3.5% of families will follow. When mothers come to Christ first, 17% of families will follow. When fathers come to Christ first, 93% of families will follow.

Even if the above father-related statistic is cut in half, it’s clear that fathers have exponential influence! When the Philippian jailer and the father at my church came to Christ, they had an eternal generational impact on their families.

Wisconsin Family Council is working to create an environment where families can thrive. Would you please consider partnering with us in this vision? We cannot do this without you! We currently have a $20,000 matching grant that expires this Sunday, and we’ve reached 89% of our goal! We are only $2,073 away from our $20,000 goal! Will you help us reach our goal? This is your LAST CHANCE to double your investment and come alongside these generous donors in promoting God’s design for marriage and family.

Your testimony of coming to faith may be a result of your father or grandfather (or maybe a father figure in your life). This “flash match” can be a great opportunity to honor and thank them for the investment they have made in you.

Additionally, when you give in your father’s or grandfather’s honor (or another father figure in your life), you will have the opportunity to leave a thankful thought or memory in the comment section which we will share on social media with a first name. This is a way to give honor and recognition to the fathers in your life.

Will you join our family in honoring your father or grandfather(s)? CLICK HERE to contribute today! Many thanks for your partnership in this unique work.
