Last week as the US Supreme Court was hearing a case involving the Little Sisters of the Poor and the federal government trying to force them to include contraceptives as part of their insurance coverage, Democrat Wisconsin Congressman Mark Pocan tweeted “Women deserve insurance coverage of birth control no matter where they work.” The graphic Pocan included says “Hands off my birth control.” (see screenshot below) Julaine Appling, president of Wisconsin Family Council says differently, “Somehow we have reached the point in this country that contraception is considered a right, too often paid for by taxpayers.  Contraception most often is a personal choice, not required health care.  Forcing employers to provide it, sometimes over their religious or conscience beliefs, is wrong.  Hands off my religious freedom, Rep. Pocan.”
