From the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty:
“[Last week], the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Governor Tony Evers will propose freezing enrollment in Wisconsin’s parental choice programs and curtailing the expansion of independent public charter schools in his budget proposal, set to be introduced on Thursday. Julaine Appling, WFC president, states, “Tony Evers has never been a friend to or a fan of any school choice idea other than public schools. The good news in this is that the conservatives who have the majority in our state legislature are committed to the voucher program and to all other educational choices. I can’t imagine they agree to any of these budget proposals. Elections continue to have consequences.”
