The Equality Under the Law Project
The Price Children Pay for Wisconsin’s No-fault, No-contest Divorce Laws
WILL Demands Elmbrook Schools Remove Sexually Explicit Books Accessible to Children
Why We Need to Remind Boys That It’s Possible To Exercise Their Strength in a Godly Way
IN THE MEDIA

“Equality is under attack by government officials and woke businesses all across our nation,” said Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty Deputy Counsel, Dan Lennington. “Every day, Americans face the new threats of unlawful discrimination at school, at work, and by their own government. Now is the time to stand up and defend equal rights for all.”

And that’s exactly what Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) is doing with their recent Project: Equality Under the Law. From advocating for those who have been unfairly discriminated against based on gender or ethnicity, fighting and winning lawsuits, and spreading the message of equality through TV and radio appearances WILL is taking a bold stand and challenging unconstitutional race discrimination, quotas, and Critical Race Theory.

Julaine Appling applauded WILL for this initiative stating, “This new litigation center is so timely. Parents and all citizens should take special note of this announcement as they work to push back against school districts that are embedding Critical Race Theory throughout the curriculum and local government seeking to indoctrinate staff in un-American ideologies that actually promote division and racism.”

The Price Children Pay for Wisconsin’s No-fault, No-contest Divorce Laws

Often couples considering divorce where children are involved will say, “The kids will be better off with happy divorced parents than unhappy married parents.” But research doesn’t bear that out. Divorce takes a toll on children, often a long-lasting one with negative impact on their mental, emotional, and sometimes physical well-being. Relatedly, studies show that about two-thirds of unhappy couples who stick it out report having happier marriages five years later. Sticking it out, especially when children are involved, should be a high-priority consideration.

Julaine Appling pointed out that Wisconsin’s divorce laws don’t prioritize children: “Wisconsin’s no-fault, no-contest divorce laws make it incredibly easy for married couples to walk away from their vows, resulting far too often in adult desires trumping the best interests of children. No matter our divorce laws, it’s incumbent on married couples with minor children to put their children first and do all they can to keep their marriage together.”

WILL Demands Elmbrook Schools Remove
Sexually Explicit Books Accessible to Children

Earlier this week, Chrissy Clark, writing for DailyWire reported, “Students in a Wisconsin school district have access to a slew of ‘sexually explicit’ books via their school-provided computers, including content that dubs traditional views of marriage as ‘ignorant.'”

The article goes on to explain that this content teaches children, as young as third grade, how to use sex apps, “mysteriously” passes the filter Securely that the district uses to weed out sexual content and violates the state’s Sex Education Policy.

In response to this and on behalf of concerned parents Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) issued a demand letter “urging immediate action to remove sexually explicit materials available through the district’s online library that violate state law and parents’ constitutional rights.”

Parents, this is a BIG deal, but we are not without hope. We can rejoice that the truth has come to light and that there are organizations such as WILL who fight for our constitutional rights. This is also a critical time for us to be proactive by voicing what we want for our children, teaching our children to think about whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely, and cultivating a relationship with our children such that they feel safe telling us what they are encountering at school. If you encounter any similar situations in your school district, we urge you to contact Attorney Dan Lennington at WILL at dan@will-law.org.

Why We Need To Remind Boys That It’s Possible
To Exercise Their Strength in a Godly Way

“When you look at the history of the country, it’s winning and focused men who took chances, who took risks, who made the difficult decisions, who sometimes made unpopular decisions that really led us to be one of the greatest countries in the world,” said Trail Life USA CEO Mark Hancock, in a conversation with Christian Post earlier this week.

“[I]f we’re not still instilling those same things in boys,…letting them know that they can get outside and exercise their strength, their masculinity, in a godly way…it’s not going to serve us well going forward as a society that [will] require men [to] do things like go to war…stand up to defend the weak, to be strong, to have convictions, to be bold about certain things. And if we aren’t instilling that in our boys, we’re certainly not going to have it in our men.”

This erosion is particularly evident in Boy Scouts of America. In a recent radio program hosted by Family Research Council, Regent University professor Rob Schwarzwalder, commented that since 2013, when the organization first waved its white flag on sexual orientation, the Scouts’ moral integrity and stability, which was once so foundational and recognizable, has drastically declined.

“[The Boy Scouts] no longer are even able to define what they mean by things like honor and morality…Scouting has pretty much been reduced to, ‘Let’s have fun outdoors, and let’s all embrace everybody’s philosophies.’ It’s moral incoherence.”

Masculinity that defends the weak and takes risks to protect and provide for what’s right was and is God’s idea. We don’t need men who are wishy-washy in the name of inclusivity. We need boys who become men who know what’s right and wrong, and how to protect and provide for what’s right with strength and certainty, while showing meekness — strength under control.

For parents who are looking for an organization that will help make good men of their boys, Trail Life USA is an excellent alternative to Boy Scouts!
